The Air Service and Trading Joint Stock Company (Airseco) has just signed a contract to provide 100 ground keepers for golf courses in Japan over the next three years, according to General Director Nguyen Xuan Vui.

The workers are scheduled to be sent to Japan by the end of the first quarter this year. They will receive a monthly salary of between 36-40 million VND (1,800-2,000 USD) in the first year. The salary will be adjusted over the next two years.

Also in the first quarter of the year, the International Human Resources Cooperation Centre, part of the Transport Construction and Investment JSC (Tranconsin), will send 300 workers to work for Saudi Airlines.

Tranconsin Director Pham Duc An said that apart from their accommodation being paid for, the workers monthly salaries range from 200-300 USD each, excluding overtime payments.

The International Manpower Supply and Trade Company (Sona) is selecting 267 workers to work in the construction sector in Libya . Under the contract, the new employees will have their airfares and accommodation paid for plus a monthly salary of six million VND.

To fullfil the target of sending 87,000 workers abroad in 2011, labour exporters, apart from seeking quality contracts, need to promote vocational training for workers to meet regional and international standards, said Deputy Director of the Overseas Workers Management Department Dao Cong Hai.

According to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, more than half million Vietnamese workers are working in 40 countries and territories, sending home nearly 2 billion USD annually./.
