More than VND 2,100 bil for the construction of Da Nang- Quang Ngai expressway

In the afternoon of the 8th of February 2014, Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) handed the Package No.1 of Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway Project to the Joint-venture of Cienco 5 and Cienco 1 with the tender price of VND 2,133 bil included tax and fees.
Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway is a part of North - South expressway project that was approved by Ministry of Transport on the Decision No. 2656/QĐ-BGTVT dated the 10th of September 2010. The expressway has the length of 131.5km, the section linking with the National Road 1A has the length of 8.02km.
The project is designed according to the standard of four-lane expressway with the ground width of 26m, asphalt surface, velocity of 120km/h for A-ranked expressway and other items of bridge, junction, tunnel, drainage culvert and underground works.
The total investment of the whole project of Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway is VND 27,968 bil ( equivalent to USD 1,472 mil) using loans from JICA, WB and Vietnamese Government's counterpart fund.
